I have been running off and on for 5 years and I want to get better and test my limits. I am pretty much starting from scratch. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to complete the Moab 1/2 Marathon in October and to be able to be comfortable running. Long-Term Running Goals: Maybe someday a whole marathon would be amazing! :) Personal: I am a student at Utah State University and I came home from an LDS mission in December 2007. I think if I can do that, I can complete a 1/2 marathon. |

| | This run started on a slight incline and I felt like I would have to walk, but by the end I felt good and like I could keep on going. | Add Comment |
| | I walked in between a bit, and I felt like I needed to stop a lot, then I would stop and felt like I could run! I felt myself getting a little impatient, but I was proud by the end that I did it. Plus at the end I went to the top on a huge hill will stairs. That felt good to be able to do at the end of a long run for me. | Add Comment |

| | I played tennis for 1.5 hours today as a cross training exercise. I am trying to just keep myself busy most days with doing something. Even if it isn't running. I signed up for a 5k race on September 6th and paid the fee so I can't get out of it. I am excited about it actually! I used to get scared and nervous! | Add Comment |

This morning I ran 2.5 miles and since I missed my long run this weekend, I was definitely feeling it! I thought death was around the corner.

| | SASHA! Today was for you baby! I ran 4 miles at an easy pace and it felt great! I definitely felt more into things today even though I didn't run Tuesday. Also, I needed new front disc brakes and I did them myself!! That's right, a girl did her own brakes and rotors! Today was a great day!

| | I ran an easy 4 miles today and actually felt like I could keep running! It was very windy but it felt pretty good. My knees hurt a little bit at the end, but they are fine. Keeping an easy pace has helped me remember that I am only in competition with myself and that I should just try my best. | Add Comment |

I decided to extend my run a bit today and ran 5 miles instead of 4, staying at an easy pace. It hurt my stomach a bit to run that far, but it was a personal victory for me to run that far :) By the middle of the run, I didn't much notice I was running except to keep a decent pace. I love it when I am running and I can forget about the world and just focus on the road and when I need to get to. It is a lot like life, you can't abandon what you are doing and the only option is stick it out. You realize your true potential that way.

Today was a great day! I haven't really even been trying to run fast or anything and in the last 2 weeks I have cut my time for a 5k to 36 mins! I know that sounds dumb to some people but I don't care! I have cut almost 10 mins off my time and I am excited! So, I ran well today and 4 miles doesn't seem so hard anymore, which is great! Also, I ran one of my miles completely up a treacherous hill, so that made me feel good too.

I didn't run over the weekend but I decided to run in the mornings now that school started so that I will get it done early and not have to worry about it! | | I ran another 5k today just to see where I was with my time and I cut another 5 mins off my time!! I am running a flat 31 mins! I actually feel like my hard work and running is paying off finally! I only really had time this morning to run a 5k too so it was an unplanned surprise for me. Also, I totally replaced my own serpentine belt on my car and I felt manly haha

| | I didn't run yesterday and I have been so tired this week since school started and I have been working 45 hours per week too. I ran this morning and it was kinda grueling but by the end I wanted to keep going but I didn't have enough time. I think tomorrow I will get up earlier to run farther. :) | Comments(2) |
